  Very slow and apathetic service. Hostess didn't greet us and just shrugged when we asked for a booth. Waited 25 minutes at our table without an acknowledgement and finally asked to change to another section. Our orders were taken within 10 minutes but the food took way too long. A manager finally came to our table and informed us of a 25% discount off our check. I just asked her to assure us our food would be out soon and that it would be fresh and wasn't back there sitting under a hot lamp. I was served my meal (ribs, mashed sweet potato, and cole slaw), and my date was served just his green beans, waiting again for his steak and potatoes. The only good part about my meal was the sweet potatoes. The ribs were dry and chewy with hardly any meat on them. My date's steak was flavorless with an odd texture. The waitress only returned once to refill drinks but never asked how our meals were. We will not return to this Applebee's and possibly not any others.

  Gets a bad rap from locals who seem to prefer the "O" restaurant. The menu is interesting and execution is consistent and price consistent with products.
